Galata village in the Troodos mountains holds an annual pastry and baked items festival to showcase its famed tradition of baking, which once constituted the main source of income for many villagers employed at the various mills that used to exist in the area. During the festival,  visitors can watch the making and baking of various traditional pastries, alongside a program of folkloric entertainment. The village museums and other attractions, including the Folk Art Museum and Byzantine Churches, will remain open for visitors.
